Getting it Right at the Start: Inductions, Interviews and Recruitment

Course length: Half day

Outline: This session looks at how to make getting volunteers involved in your organisation more effective, to reduce the large initial drop out that many organisations experience from the time a potential volunteer phones up to find out more information, to the time that a volunteer actually starts volunteering.

Participants will learn:

· How to help make recruitment more effective
· Making sure you have the right people coming forward
· Structures to put in place to make your interviewing and selection work for you
· Looking at things to put in place to get your volunteers off to the best possible start through their initial training and inductions.
