Volunteers are introduced to the work and ethos of the organisation
Welcome to the third edition of Charter Chatter
As you know the Charter focuses on 10 points of good volunteer management. We’re focusing on a section a month, this months is Induction, you can still see the previous two on Equality and Diversity and Expenses online. Charter Chatter is to give you a quick tip, information of resources available from our website as well as ask for your support and expertise through our resources wish list. If you'd like to further discuss this months topic with your peers, visit Association of Volunteer Managers a voice, a network and a resource for Volunteer Managers.
Have you thought about using a video as part of your induction, maybe with a welcome from key senior staff, or even service users to talk about what a difference the organisation and it's volunteers have made to their lives.
You can use using Microsoft Movie Maker, or Quicktime, to edit your own video and Piers Cardiff (Volunteering Bristol) recommends the flip camera
